Raise your kids so the government doesn't have to

So I am just going to start this off by saying that I am probably going to piss quite a few people off.  Sorry that you are so easily upset and maybe you should unfriend or unfollow me because I speak my mind quite often.

Now that that is out of our way…What the fuck is wrong with people now days?  I mean seriously?!  Everyone is getting all butt hurt because of all the chaos of police shootings and the black/white/brown/unicorn lives matter that no one is stopping to think why this is all happening!

When was the last time that you saw a child in the store throwing a fit?  Doesn’t matter the race of the child or the parent, just think about the child.  I would say that most of you said somewhere within this last week, right?  Now, what did that parent do?  Did they grab that child and take them to the bathroom?  Did they whisper in the child’s ear?  Did they yell at that child?  Did they spank that child right there in front of everyone?  Bet they didn’t.  I bet that that parent looked at that child screaming and yelling and throwing a fit, and then ignored them.  I bet that the parent walked out of the store with the child following still yelling and screaming.  I can almost guarantee that even in a few of those cases that child got whatever it was they were screaming and fighting for.

That folks is what is wrong with America today.  People have forgotten how to discipline their kids.  Maybe they are scared to discipline because of someone saying those three dreaded letters…CPS.  Whatever the reason may be, I have learned that the generation today doesn’t respect anyone or anyting because their parents have taught them that.  Now I know that I am going to have someone argue that it’s only the white kids that have no respect.  Nope not true because even though my kids are 17 and 14 you can bet your shiny ass that if I learn of them being disrespectful of ANYONE I will still bust their asses.  Well you say that it’s only black kids.  Nope I can prove you wrong there too.  I have several black friends that will lay a smack down on their kids in a heartbeat.  Well you say I see Hispanic kids all the time being hell on wheels.  No that is also not true because just like before I have seen my friends bring them close and whisper in Spanish, “Wait until we get in the car.”  With a smile on their face, or they just spank them right there.

Your race has nothing to do with how you act in public or at home for that matter.  Your race has nothing to do with if you are going to respect someone.  Your race has nothing to do with how you are going to treat each other or that person of authority.  You have everything to do with that.  You and the way that you raise your kids has all the matter in the world on how you are.

You know I am not always the nicest person in the world and unless you have been on the wrong end of me or just been near me when someone else has been you would never know it.  My mom raised me to treat everyone with respect and dignity.  I could care less who you are or where you are from,  I don’t care what the color of your skin is or if you are the CEO of a company.  If you treat me like a human being that has a heartbeat, then I will treat you that same.  You all know that I worked at a shelter and those girls can tell you that I would treat them all with the same respect as they would treat me.  We had all walks of life come in there from those that were homeless straight off the street to a lady that her husband owned a bank branch and she was running from a millionaire and she knew that he wouldn’t find her there.  Do you know that the lady had the nastiest attitude because even though she was living under “shelter” roof she still thought that we were her servants.

Look the point is raise your kids.  Don’t let your kids raise themselves.  You let them run around and you never discipline them then what do you expect?  When they become adults and run from the police like they ran from you in Wal-mart or fight the police like they fought you when you told them they couldn’t have something, the police are not going to let them get away with it like you did.  You cannot blame the police for taking action when it was your choice to let them raise themselves.  Yes, I know that there are a few bad cops out there but what I am seeing here lately is just flat out folks not knowing how to be decent humans.

You have my permission to share if you feel the need or we can talk about this.  I know that people are going to disagree with me but I don’t care because my kids know right from wrong and I will not be responsible for raising yours too and neither should our government.

Compassion, here? Pfft! Please...

There is so much that has been going on in my life that I have just now realized that I have been neglecting y’all.  I am so very sorry.  Well ok only kinda sorry.  I have a life too y’all.

So I had a job at a domestic violence shelter and I loved it.  I got that job back in November of last year.  About  the same time I stopped writing y’all.  I really needed that job.  Don’t know if you all know this about me but I am a survivor of Domestic Violence and this job really hit home.  That is another story.

Now seeing that I was working for a DV shelter I saw a lot of stuff and most of that is with the staff.  Yes there were times that a woman and her kids came in and I was beside myself upset about what had happened to them.  I can’t discuss that one; but the things that I am referring to is the fact that the staff there are horrible.  They don’t know how to treat people in general much less a woman that was being abused for god knows how long.  At times I wanted to scream at them that they are human too!!!   They thought that just because a woman didn’t do her chore on time she should potentially get a “write up” that might cause her to have to leave the shelter and possibly live on the street until she could find somewhere else to go.  That isn’t right, I don’t care who you are or what you are trying to prove.  Everyone needs a little sway every now and then.  That’s not to say that if you come in drunk or high and decide that you want to sit there and cuss me out or threaten me or my family with harm that I am not going to get you out of there as soon as I can; but if you come in drunk or high and go to your room to sleep it off and come to speak with me the next day about it I will let it slid the first time.  Everyone makes a mistake or two, we are all human.  Imagine how boring life would be if we all followed the rules all the time.   With all that said, and all that always happening, I stayed.  I stayed because they needed me.  They needed someone that was on their side in there, someone that would stand up for them in their time of need, someone that would stand there and listen when they needed it or give them advice if they wanted it or maybe just a hug.  Sometimes you just need a hug, or to cry, or scream, or maybe just laugh.  I wanted to know that at least they had someone.

Before then, I had never contacted anyone outside of the shelter.  I was told that it wasn’t allowed and that I would lose my job.  Then I heard of one of the girls that I worked with inviting one of the clients to live with her for a while.  She still has her job and doesn’t do a damn thing to keep it.   The breaking point of all of it for me was when I was in Galveston, on September 22nd, and received a call that one of the ladies and her 3 kids; ages 2, 1, and 4 months; were kicked out because she had failed to complete her chore on time and was unable to call to let someone know because she had no phone with her.  She was asked to leave on Saturday before, and had been out since then.  That was it!  I asked the girl that had called me if the client had called since then.  No she had not called and no one has heard anything from her and no one has tried to call her either.  I didn’t bother asking her why no one has called her I just asked for her number.  A couple of minutes after that I called the client to make sure that she was ok and had a place to stay.  That is when she told me that in fact she and the kids had spent the last 2 nights in her truck and that she was going to be doing that again tonight, because when she left they had not given her any numbers for other shelters that she could call.  I was livid!!!  Why do they do this?!  How can they knowingly kick out a woman and her 3 babies and not give her at least a sheet of paper with numbers to other shelters!!!  That is the moment that I knew that I had to really start doing something actively to help these women or no one else would.  I took it upon myself to call around to other shelters and look for her another place to go.  I called 9 shelters that night and spoke to several others that were at the conference with me the next day.  It took me 2 days to find her a place to go.  That was 2 days that she slept in her car with her kids.  2 fucking days!!!!!  This could have been avoided if the shelter staff were a little more compassionate!

So on October 7th right after a confidential staff meeting, I was called into the caseworker’s office.  I was then told that on September 29th I broke confidentiality when I contacted the client, and that I was being let go.  Yep, she told me that another staff member called her and told her that I had called the shelter to specifically ask for that clients number and take her food and diapers.  Then, as I was about to leave, the Executive Director, who was also in the room while I was being fired, stopped me and asked me if I would like to tell them anything or any names that have also broken the rules.  REALLY!!!  YOU WANT TO ASK ME THAT QUESTION AFTER YOU HAVE ALREADY FIRED ME!!!???  I looked her square in the face and said, “Why in the fuck would I tell you a fucking thing, it’s not like it is going to get me my job back!  Fuck y’all!” Pfft like I would tell them any motherfuckin thing!  So now that I have been fired, and don’t have a job, guess I can say whatever I want, right?  So I want someone to explain to me how one of the staff members that still has a job can have 2 CPS cases and has had a police report filed on her for “spanking” two kids in the daycare of the shelter.  How many asses do you have to kiss to keep your job after that one?  How about the staff member that verbally abuses the other staff members on her shift and makes the workplace hostile, or the one that yells and takes food from the children if they are caught eating after 9:30 in the morning?  I lost my job for helping a woman and her kids find a safe place to sleep.  I have so much more to say on this topic but it will have to be another day because Mert is looking at me wondering what is taking me so long…

<3 y’all and would love some feedback on this one.

Ohio Part 3.....

This week we visit with my sister and her husband. yay...

Can I just say that although I love my sister I probably will never go to visit with her again.

I went up there on a budget, very strict budget that they knew about.  Yet I was still expected to purchase everything that we would be eating for the week.  Like milk and bottled water.  Then when we went out to eat I also had to purchase that.  So needless to say we didn't go anywhere because I didn't have the money to do so.

I had a blast hanging out with my sister and my newest nephew though.

We took a lot of really cute photo's of him but they sleep all the time, because, well,  he is new and he sleeps a lot so Booboo sleeps with him.......

We did go to Pennsylvania one day to go and see some fish but as soon as we crossed the Pa. Oh border it started to rain, hard, so we came back and went to the in-laws to watch a Browns game.

On our way!!

Of course Matty falls asleep as soon as we get into the car...

On the second to last day we were there we became awesome like auntie and I had to take a few pictures.....

All in all I had fun.  On the way back in Tenn, where by the way they should clean up their highways, we hit a large piece of metal in the road and hurt my truck.  I didn't think that we would make it home, but we did where my husband and animals were happy to see me and my daughter was happy to see her bubba!!!  I would highly recommend you taking at least one road trip with one, just one of your kids to get to know them.  We had fun just the two of us....maybe I will do it again next year but with bear........

Special needs children and SEX! How you might do 'it'

So this post is a little off track for what I normally do but I thought that I would try to help.

I was recently asked how to tell your child about the birds and the bee's?  The only catch on this is the one asking me as a child with special needs.  I am not sure how to answer that question for a special needs boy, but I will try my damnedest to try and explain what I did.

So my daughter was 10 when we had the 'talk' and it went ok.......

I sat her down and told her the basics, like ok so you know because of looking at your brother that you have a Ya' Ya' and your brother has a wennie.  So soon you will be having a period and that is where........and I explained what that was and why we have it.  That was the 'talk' that she got when she was 10ish.

When she turned 13 we had a different talk.

I let her know that masturbation was ok when she was alone.  I told her that sex before marriage was not ok with me or her dad but that she would most likely have it anyways and because I knew that that might happen I wanted her to know all that she can about it.

I told her about all, ALL, of the STD's that she could get and what they do to her body.  I also let her know that some of them will not go away with medicine.  I told her that if she did chose to have pre-marital sex that I wanted her to go and get birth control first.  (you can judge me all you want on that one but I would rather her be safe and not get pregnant than come home one day like I did and be pregnant and not do what all she was meant to do)

I am by no means an expert I am just a mom.   I have a teenage daughter.  I was once a teenage girl and I know what all goes on in a girls head.

This part of my blog was copied from the website FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE BLOG.  It is not my writing.  I always give credit where credit is due :)

There is often a lot of anxiety around talking to children with special needs about growing up, relationships and sex. Parents worry their children may be vulnerable to exploitation and abuse. But by teaching your child about sex and relationships you can help keep them safe.

Whether your child has special needs or not, they will still hit puberty and the chances are they will have sexual feelings. Giving them the information they need to understand those feelings and channeling them appropriately is very important.

Sadly, a lot of young people with special needs get negative messages about sex – ‘Don’t do that, it’s not nice!’ ‘Stop touching yourself, that’s bad!’ As your child turns into a young adult, they need sensible information and advice to help them develop positive, healthy attitudes.

19 Tips For Talking About Sexuality & Relationships

Netbuddy - Special Needs ResourcesThe following tips for talking to your child about sexuality and relationships have been contributed to Netbuddy by parents and special needs professionals.  We hope they will give you some ideas for handling this sensitive, but important subject.

1. Public & private

Teach the difference between public & private. This can be body parts, places, clothing, behaviors & communication. If you do this at an early age, your child will learn this important difference before puberty.

2. Take it somewhere private

If your child starts to discuss a private activity in public, interrupt or move to a more private area, so you are modeling where to have these sorts of conversations.

3. Appropriate behavior

Talk about what kind of behavior is appropriate in public and in private. For e.g., “Is it OK to kiss and hug your boyfriend during a lesson at college?”

4. Body parts

When bathing, label the body part and whether it is public or private. Use anatomically correct names for genitals.

5. Encourage independence

Whenever possible, & from a young age, encourage independence in wiping/cleaning after going to the toilet & when bathing/drying. If your child needs your help, put your hand over theirs while they do the wiping/drying/cleaning. Tell them you are doing this because their body belongs to them.

6. Touch

Teach your child that they ‘own’ their body. Nobody can touch their body without their consent. They choose who they share their body with, and it’s OK to say ‘no’.

7. Peer pressure

Make sure your child understands they don’t need to kiss, cuddle or have sex with someone if they don’t want to. Remind them they are in control of their body.

8. Just say ‘no’!

Talk about consent with your child. Do they feel confident enough to say ‘no’ to being intimate if they are not ready? Practice saying ‘No’ with them, using assertive body language and eye contact.

9. Comfortable & uncomfortable

Talk about ‘comfortable’ and ‘uncomfortable’ types of touch. ‘When you give me a hug I feel really loved & comfortable.’ ‘Kicking hurts & I feel unsafe & uncomfortable when it happens.’

10. Touch changes

Talk about how touch can start off feeling comfortable, then can become uncomfortable. For eg ‘When you were wrestling with your brother you felt safe until he was rough & then you felt uncomfortable.’

11. Ban ‘good’& ‘bad’

Link the feeling to ‘comfortable’ or ‘uncomfortable’ rather than ‘good’ or ‘bad’. Using ‘good’ or ‘bad’ may make the child feel they are bad if they have an uncomfortable feeling.

12. Business touch

We ask people with disabilities to sit quietly and allow their bodies to be touched by strangers a lot … doctors, therapists, aides, care assistants, etc. This leaves them vulnerable to abuse. Teach about ‘business touch’ e.g. ‘It is the business of the doctor to touch your foot and help it grow straighter.’

13. Explain what you’re doing

Explain to people what you are doing when you have to apply medical ointment/creams to their genitals or clean them when they are soiled. This is an excellent time to talk about private & who can touch, & why the touching is happening.

14. Take it slowly

Don’t bombard your child with a lot of information about sex at once. Be prepared to tell them things again to reinforce the message and help them understand. Make sure you speak to your child at a level they can understand.

15. Keep an open mind

Think about your own feelings, attitudes, values and comfort level related to sexuality issues. Try to maintain an open mind when talking to your child about sexual issues. Try not to react negatively to what they say or do.

16. Get your facts right

Make sure you have correct information before giving it to your child. It’s OK to tell them you’re not sure about an issue and you will find out.

17. Three’s company

It can be helpful to ask a friend or support worker to accompany your child on dates in the early stages of a new relationship. They don’t need to sit with them on a romantic date, but could sit in the same café reading a book for example, so still be close at hand for support when needed.

18. Keep it to yourself

If your child is going on a date with someone new, make sure they don’t divulge personal details, such as address, mobile number, bank or passport details. Talk about the importance of privacy.

19. Hormones and emotions

Be prepared for the emotional turbulence that can come with hormonal changes during puberty. Try your best to be patient and understand that your child may need more alone time.

I sure hope that this helps and I would also recommend that you visit the blog that I got some of this information from...

Why must they grow up?

Ok so I needed to blog today, only because I need some way of coping with what I am going through!

My babies are growing up!!!!!

When did that happen?  I know that it was just yester-year that I had my beautiful 6lb 5oz 18inch long baby girl, that started kindergarten and then 6th grade, but when did she grow up?!  I am NOT ready for this!!  NO!  I want my baby back!  It isn't fair that they have to grow up and go to high school!

When she started kindergarten she didn't want to let me go.  I had to stay with her most of the day because she was literally attached to my leg.  I thought it was so funny.  Then she got distracted and I ran, out of the room, out of the school, and into my waiting car.  I carried on the rest of the day like nothing was different. <--looking back I should have cried and fought for her to stay by my side.  I didn't though, I knew that she had to go to school and I still had a little one that I needed to care for at home.  She was home soon enough and I took a picture of her getting off of the bus that afternoon! I can't find it so here is one of her and her brother...

She was ok the next year when she went on to 1st grade and so was I.  That is the way it went until she changed schools, but again I still had one that was in Elementary that I could baby so I was ok with it.  Now I am not ok with the fact that she is about to start HIGH SCHOOL!!!

It goes from baby dolls and Barbie dolls to boys and cars!  It all happens so fast that you don't even know that it is happening.  It hasn't hit my husband yet but I am sure that it will when we go to the 'crossing over' ceremony in a couple of weeks.  He will cry!  I will take a photo of it to show him later when he denies it!!

High school is a bad thing in my mind.  High school is where 'things' happen.  Bad things most of the time. You know like driving, dating, parties, so on and so forth.  I know that I am not the only one that this has happened to.  I am sure that my mom went through the same thing when I started high school, and her mom before her and on and on.....

How do you make the panic stop though?  Has anyone figured out how to make them stop growing?  Can you share it with me please!!  I really didn't think that I was going to be one of "those" mom's!!  You know the kind I am talking about.  I am sure you don't wanna be one either.  Just wait, it's coming.

Lord help us all....they are still growing up!!!!  Here is her first day of High School...

So yeah....

I have something to blog about.....yea yea I know, it's about time....

So a while back I had another blog that I had started when I broke my leg just to talk or vent or whatever. So I had wrote about something that had happened at home...let me recap.

Bear and a friend were over and decided to walk the big dog.  They walked outside with him and the FIL was outside with his 2 puppies on one line and they pulled him over.  He proceeded to yell at Bear and her friend and then the MIL came out to yell some too.  So I posted that and the fact that I was mad about it because it isn't like they did it on purpose and that no one really likes her and that is the reason that the SIL AND BIL don't come by that much. <--  that's it no names no addresses nothing that you would be able to tell who I am speaking about.

A couple of days later I received a email about not wanting to be dragged into our fight and that they didn't appreciate the fact I was talking about family on the internet and a whole bunch of nothing.  So I apologized and deleted the blog. <----DELETED MY BLOG!!!!  Didn't matter they came over the following day and told my MIL to go to the site and not only that....they printed the damn thing out!!!  WTF!!!!

So she wrote me a while back...

Hey ROAORM

Hope you are doing well and your leg is finally healed 100%

I was hoping to talk to you in person but that opportunity has not arisen.  I know a lot of stuff happened last year.  I really hope that we can come to a place where we can enjoy family gatherings and events together.  Life is short and it has it's ups and downs so I hope we can make it an up time again.

We don't have to be best pals or anything but I think we should work at being family because at the end of the day that is what matters and it's important for the kids to see that.

No matter what, know that if y'all needed me, even in bad times, I would be there for you even though the relationship was strained.

Hopefully I will see you at Easter.  We don't have to talk about this anymore unless you want to.

xoxo

I responded with...

I am not sure how to respond.

Back when BIL wrote me that you didn't want your name in on my blog or to be dragged into he middle I said Sorry and deleted the blog. You both responded by deleting and blocking me again. That was uncalled for I think after I had said Sorry and deleted the blog.

I have been avoiding family gatherings because I didn't want to be "shunned" again like I was at Christmas that one year.

I am Sorry but I am still not sure that I Will be going. I Will let someone know.

Thanks

She responded with ....

Thanks for responding.

Just for the record, some actions are not automatically fixed with an I'm sorry unfortunately.  And, deleting a blog does not make everyone forget that it happened.

This was a big one ROAORM.  The FB/social media has gotten out of hand. Just cause we aren't FB friends doesn't mean that we are not family.  This is insane.  We need to live outside of the social media world - especially when it comes to matters related to family.  That time that you were home injured with your leg I think was very hurtful to you and I get it....the computer was the only thing you thought you had. I just think playing out your life on the internet/social media is not healthy for you, your family or the rest of the people in your life/family.

Let's find a way to move forward -- it may take some time, but it can be done.  There are a lot of family things going on like Other BIL and Future SIL wedding, Uncle and Future Aunt wedding, family coming down from Minnesota and Chicago.  We all want you guys to be a part of it.  These times do not come around again.

Hope what I said did not make matters worse.  It was not written with malice or ill will.  It is what I would have told you in person if I had the opportunity.

Have a great day/rest of the week and I hope to see you guys SOON.

And again...

Well I was unaware that anyone other than you two knew about the blog. Like I had said when I wrote BIL back, it had only had a couple views.  HUBS and will be there for the weddings and the family coming down from where ever, but we would like to stay out of all other drama.  Yes, you did hurt me when you all deleted and blocked me from my only way of seeing anything at the time.

Last one...

ROAORM...everyone that was friends with you on FB got the alert to read your blog because the alert came across FB. Neither BIL nor I knew you ever had a blog if it were not for the postings on FB advertising it.  Your blog was tied to FB.  The problem is everyone was reading your blog posts and it sounds like BIL was the only one that said anything after that final blog post.

There are other ways to keep in touch with your family.  If you didn't have a phone you could have emailed or written, come over to the house etc.  Social media is not the only tool to communicate.

With that said, I am happy to hear you will be attending the family functions.  I truly believe it's a step in the right direction.   As far as good news, there really hasn't been any drama at all since this event -- at least that I know of.  No family, friendship, relationship is drama free.  It's all in how you handle it.  You can intensify the fire or you can work to put it out.

If nothing else at least we are communicating and not via FB - Awesome.

You still have my number right?   Here it is just in case you want to talk in person.

Ok so I don't really want to email you what makes you think that I would want to call your ass!!??  *sigh*

So what are your thoughts?  I feel that I am no longer in the wrong after I had apologized and deleted the blog.  It doesn't stop there though!

At Christmas this past year the Hubs and the kids went to their house and was ignored by them.  Their family didn't speak to them.  That is what I didn't want happening, that is the reason that I didn't want to go or to be around them at all.  I never in a million years think that they would treat my kids or husband like that.  They are supposed to be BIG christen people that go to church all of the time and believe in forgiveness but they don't act like a christen person is supposed to act.  I don't know what to think.

Lawd have mercy!!!!

My Kid :0)

Yeah I know, my idea's are not always that great, but I think you might like this one!

So I was sitting here and thinking about how yesterday I said that we were going to start doing something for Friday's, right?  Well I got it.  Friday will forever be known as Save me day...

Save me day is going to be about saving someone or something that is special to you and that was created when I read the blog about a woman and her child that has Autism. Link here <---

My child has ADHD and for a long time I didn't know what was wrong with her.  I just thought she was a 'bad' kid.  She was really bad.  She would hide under her desk at school, throw stuff, cuss, scream, hit, fight teachers and kids, it was bad.  One day I had had enough, she was in 3rd grade and was not even close to passing and this was the beginning of the year. I thought all kids passed the first 6 weeks.  Wow was I proven wrong.  Bear was like a tornado one minute and a sweet angel that just wanted a hug the next.  I was having weekly visits with her teachers in the third month into 3rd grade when one of them finally ask me, "Have you ever had her tested for ADHD?"  <---What the hell is that?!  I had no clue that there was such a thing.

I mean come on folks, I was at the end of my rope.  I thought that I just didn't need to raise kids.  I was really screwing this one up bad!  I would cry nightly about this while looking at boot camp schools to send her too.  I just couldn't do it any more.  I was so depressed and I was thinking of calling my mom, whom I hadn't spoken to in 2 years to just come and get her and she can raise her!!!

That afternoon I called her doctor and asked about it.  He said come and pick up these papers so you and the teachers can fill them out and return them to me.  I said how late are you open?  I went, got the papers, took them to the teachers, had all of it filled out and turned back in that day!  The next day the doctor called me and said that they needed me to bring her in, and if this afternoon was OK?  OMG do you want me to go and get her now!!!!????

After I took her in and they put her on Focolin XR it was Night and Day!  Literally!  I was back in love with my child.  She was my sweet baby again!!!  Now though that she has been 'labeled' I have to fight for her daily...

I have to have yearly meeting with the school so they can tell me the 'goals' for that year with her.  It is in her record that she has ADHD so all of her teachers automatically treat her as if she is a 'bad' kid still.  They don't give her second chances like a child without a problem would get.  The first time she messes up she gets sent to the principle's office.

This is my story...Next week I would love to hear yours!  And remember that child you see in front of you acting out may just be struggling with his/her own problems, so before you label him/her stop and think about my story.

Parenting

So I sit here and I think...What can I tell y'all this week that will just blow you away?  Guess what?  I have nothing!  Nada, Zilch, not a damn thing and I am pissed about that!  So because you were so sweet to come and see what type of gibberish I have wrote about this week I will have to improvise...

My parenting style...I am forewarning you that it may disturb you the way I parent...I am blunt with my kids.  If I get pissed at them, they will know it because I will be screaming, yelling, cussing, and everything else.  Now before you get your panties in a wad let me just say that they stand there and look at me when I am doing this with a smile on their face.  They know that I am throwing empty threats, so calm your tits!

I am also very open with them about life.  If they ask me a question that makes me uncomfortable, well I just muscle through it and tell it like it really is.  Which kinda has back fired on me because they are also very open with me.  My daughter quite often tells me shit that I would rather not know, and my son thinks that it is cute to tell me how many 'hairs' he has down there!  AAHHHHHHH!!!!!  I really don't need to know that.

I think I am a good parent.  If you tell me any different I will hurt you.  I am the type of parent that my MIL calls a 'momma bear' because if you mess with my babies I WILL HURT YOU!   Seriously.  I don't play like that...Those are my kids and I will protect them with everything in me.  My kids are the main reason me and the MIL fight.  She doesn't think that I should protect them as much as I do.  She thinks that she should be able to come out and tell them what to do with me sitting there.  PFFT......

I don't let my kids go anywhere unless I do a child predator check first in that area.  If by chance (this has happened) I arrive at the house and I don't like the way it looks.  Be prepared to be royally embarrassed because I will leave!  Bear, the whole way home says "OMG MOM YOU HAVE RUINED MY LIFE FOREVER!!!"  Have I ruined you life because I think I may have just made it to where my daughter will graduate and do great in life...Bear has 2 good friends...That being said, they are a year younger than her(she was held back) and both of them are on birth control!  It isn't because they need to regulate their periods...NO it is because they are having sex, REGULARLY!!!!  Hello, good momma, right here!  My child is not having sex yet, WHEW!  Oh how do I know you ask?  Because she can't go anywhere!  That and I know that she would tell me or her dad <again we are an open family)...Her one friend's parents will bring her over to see her boyfriend, who lives one street over from us, but won't bring her here.  Strange right?!  Makes me think that they want her to have sex.

Now my sister, I love her, but lord help her style of parenting.  I cannot tell you how many times she has called me saying something like 'M HELP, HOW DO YOU GET _________________(fill in with some type of creamy liquid) out of (hair, carpet, clothes, walls, ect.....)  Now you could say that she needs to watch her kids better......(you could say it, it's ok)  I do find humor in it though.  I would spend hours laughing afterwards...

Her youngest would get onto the counter tops and pull out all of the dishes from the cabinet.  Good thing they were plastic.   I can't parent like that....

I guess you could say that I am an average parent, but I am sure that if I wasn't 17 when I had my first and I had waited until late 20's or so I would have been superb!  Yeah probably not, but hey!

What is your style of parenting?

Teabags?

OK so lets start off by saying I am a mom, I have been for a little over 14 years. Now lets move on to this story....Grab a tissue it's a good one...

I am in the kitchen on Monday washing dishes (yes I wash dishes alot) and I have Bear(14) put on some water for a pitcher of sweet tea.  When the water starts to boil I say "Go and get the teabags....(My son (10) explodes in laughter).....What the hell is so funny?"

He tells me "Nothing!"  :/  "Really? Then why are you laughing?"  "I don't know!"

OK so I am like HUMMMM.........whatever kids are weird...... So I continue "Bear go and get the teabags.........( AGAIN IT HAPPENS).....What the hell Bubba?!"

(CONTINUES DIEING LAUGHING-He is literally crying he is laughing so hard)...."Bear put them in the pot..."

Now I am still asking what is so funny buy the word Teabag?  Which then gets laughter not only from the boy but now Bear is laughing!!  WTF is so damn funny???!!!

I go into the bedroom so I can ask Mert.  "Mert do you think it is funny when I say 'teabag'?"  "no"  "They (points to living room) won't stop laughing!"  "Well they are :/ (don't like this word) stupid"
I say "UGH"  and walk out.

TEA'S DONE!!

"Bear get me the bag of ice so I can fill up the pitcher."  She gets the ice and says nonchalantly "You want me to bang it on the ground?"  OMG!!!  You would have thought that that saying was the funniest thing on the planet!  He (bubba) has fallen off of the couch by now and is rolling laughing!!

OK so I get that one, and unless your mind is already in the gutter you wouldn't find that funny, but guess what, his mind is there!

So I have had it at this point and I tell them "Spill it! What is so funny about the word 'teabag'?  tell me NOW!"  (I don't like my kids knowing something that I don't know)

Well they don't tell me they show me.....(their version).......Bear sits on the floor and bubba takes her head and pulls it towards his (UM YEA)!  OMG!  STOP THAT!!  WTF!!

They are dieing and I am freaking out!  I am told later by LOLO that is not what it means but hey let them believe that!

I looked it up!  I don't want to do that!!! EVER!!!

teabagging

An adult act performed by consenting republican/conservatives on each other to express their fake outrage to imaginary tax increases (most of these idiots actually just got a tax break)

During this act one republican/conservative nut job (pun intended) drops his pants in public and slowly lowers his scrotum into the eager mouth of another right wing nut lover.

Some basic Teabagging participation rules

1: Participants have to be very low income (preferably on welfare)
2: Participants have to be avid Fox News watchers (this makes certain the participants are brainwashed to the extent of being borderline retarded)
3: Participants have to be republican/conservative
On 04/15/09 (Tax Day) broke ass republicans throughout the country gathered in public and performed mass teabagging on each other for hours while complaining about some imaginary tax increases

ok Hope you enjoyed my unconfortable moment with my kids :)

Good morning PMS'er

Have you ever woke up and known that today was gonna be the day that nothing was going to go right?  Well guess what today was! Today was that day!

I woke up to Mert being a pissy bitch in the living room about god knows what.  He does that every now and then I usually just stay away from him. Ya know it is kinda like when us lady's are having a PMS moment. So I go in there to make my coffee and notice that he has taken it upon himself to take out the sausage and eggs so that I would see them. Okay well I guess I will make breakfast since you don't know how and the kids sure as hell are NOT going to do it!  Bamm! Breakfast is making, sausage is done and on the plate, I am trying to do the eggs and butter the toast and wash the dishes and he thinks that he is just going to waltz over here and steal a sausage. His hands I notice are empty so I am thinking 'Where in the fuck did he put it!' then I notice it, he has a stain in his pants that wasn't there earlier. That MF'er he put it in his pocket!!!  OMG!!!  Take that shit out of your pocket and put it on the damn plate!!! Geez!

So I thought hell no I am not putting up with him today; I will go and clean my grandma's house (she is very sick and is unable to clean anymore so I do it for her).  I gather everything that I am going to need to do my job and I go to leave and bubba comes running out of the door yelling "Grandma doesn't wanna mess with cleaning today, but she says that you can still come over."  sigh Great!  I think 'ya know what I am gonna act like I didn't get the message and go over there to clean.'  Nope she meets me at the door as I get there and tells me that she doesn't wanna do that today and lets just have a visit.  3 1/2 hours later I leave and head home...Wow my day was boring!

Did you see my post from yesterday? Now that shit was funny!

Bye Y'all

Kids

Oh hey, I decided that instead of washing clothes or cleaning my house I would sit on my ass and write to all of you out there in www land.

So let me just say that I am thinking about getting my daughter a Chasity belt.  She, as far as I know, isn't having sex yet, but I would rather do that now than raise my daughter baby while she finishes high school and college.  There will be some judging me saying "Well if you do this or do that your just telling her it is ok as long as________" No that is not what I am doing at all.  I am simply taking in the fact that children, and that is what they are until oh I don't know like 25, most likely won't stop in the middle of fondling each other to say "Hey do you have a condom?" Oh how do I know that you ask?  Well because I have been that child in the middle of doing my thing that went straight from the rubbing and touching to the sex and a condom never crossed my mind.  Hence why I had a baby when I was 17 and dropped out of high school!  Come on get real, I mean seriously, how many times during high school did you have sex?  Ok now how many of those times did you stop right before and say hummm...maybe we should stop right here and put on protection.  Yeah not very many!  All I am saying is wouldn't you rather have your daughter or boyfriends girlfriend on some type of birth control so you are 99.999% sure that you won't have a grandchild until they are happily married and living on their own and supporting themselves?  I know I sure as hell would.  I think it would be great when they finally figure out how to do a BC for guys too that way it will be 100% effective for both parties involved in the sex!  How great that would be.  Then it wouldn't be the babies and diseases that we would have to worry about, just the diseases.  Yep that would be great!

Ok I will step down from my soap box for today!
